Penguins Vs. Canadiens Score: Pens Behind 3-2 After Pascal Dupuis Goal

The Pens are down 3-2 against Montreal late in the second period.

Late in the second period, the Penguins trail the Montreal Canadiens, 3-2.

The game got off to a quick start. Evgeni Malkin scored almost immediately in the first period, with a wrist shot at 0:21 to give the Pens a 1-0 lead (with Sidney Crosby and Chris Kunitz picking up assists). But Travis Moen answered almost immediately to tie the score at one. Max Pacioretty gave the Canadiens a 2-1 lead with 12 minutes left in the first period, and Erik Cole added a second-period goal. Pascal Dupuis scored late in the second period (assisted by the much-maligned Paul Martin and by Matt Cooke) to cut the lead in half.

Marc-Andre Fleury has 11 saves for the Pens, while Carey Price has 23 for Montreal.

The Pens also played Friday night against Ottawa, but they'll need to summon all their energy in the third period to come back against Montreal.
