The Penguins are coming off an Evgeni Malkin hat trick in an 8-3 victory over the Buffalo Sabres, but they'll face a tougher task Tuesday night against the Chicago Blackhawks. The game starts at 7:30 PM at CONSOL Energy Center.
The Blackhawks have been on a roll recently - they've won five straight and are 7-0-1 in December. They've also scored three or more goals in all eight of their December games, and they're currently fifth in the NHL in goals per game. Marian Hossa, Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharp and Patrick Kane all have 30-plus points. Of course, the Pens are no slouches in the scoring department themselves, even with Sidney Crosby still on the shelf, so expect lots of offensive firepower.
Veteran Ray Emery, who has taken playing time from Corey Crawford throughout December and played very well, will start in goal for the Blackhawks.
Game Date/Time: Tuesday, December 20, 7:30 PM Eastern
