Local columnist/troll John Steigerwald recently attracted notice for using his column in the Washington (Pennsylvania) Observer-Reporter to speculate about the possibility that the decline Washington (D.C.) Capitals' Alex Ovechkin is due to steroid use. Steigerwald is, plainly, an idiot and a jerk (as Chris Mueller put it at the time, "'When I grow up, I want to be just like John Steigerwald.' --No one, ever"), and no one would have blamed Ovechkin for simply ignoring him. But he didn't, according to NHL.com's Slava Malamud:↵
Ovi made fun of the "steroid article" ("That's how I scored - pop a steroid and there you go!") but was upset too. Called author a moron↵
"That's how I scored - pop a steroid and there you go!" is classic stuff. Good for Ovechkin for firing back.↵
