Winger Arron Asham is the latest Penguin to miss time with a concussion, Dan Bylsma revealed. Asham had not played since February 1.

↵↵The Penguins have maintained over the past couple of weeks that Asham had sustained an "upper-body injury," and indeed he had. It does not appear likely that Asham will return to the lineup anytime soon.
↵"Day-to-day is not accurate at this point in time," Bylsma said. "He has been progressing. He hasn't gone to exercise. That's where Arron's at."

The Penguins are getting some kind of grotesque lesson in just how persistent and awful concussion symptoms can be - Sidney Crosby could end up being done for the year, Eric Tangradi is out with one too, and now Asham.
↵By the way, the designation "upper-body injury" in hockey has always amused me. It's so vague, it's completely unhelpful, as it leaves you to guess whether the guy has a concussion or a broken arm or appendicitis or a heart condition.
