Brent Johnson and Rick DiPietro's goalie fight has turned out very badly for DiPietro, who will now miss four to six weeks with a broken face. Yes, that's right:
↵↵↵Initial x-rays failed to show any damage, but a follow-up CT scan showed that DiPietro had facial fractures and knee swelling, the team said.
↵"It's frustrating, it's unfortunate and every other emotion you can throw in there," DiPietro told reporters Friday. "I'm sick of losing, our team's sick of losing. You never go into a fight expecting you're going to get smashed in the face that hard, or with these kind of consequences, but it happens and you move on."

Hockey fans rarely disguise their glee about fights, particularly weird ones like goalie fights, but it's a shame to see a guy be out for so long. Good luck to DiPietro. I'm not sure what the knee swelling is about, but as for the facial damage, Johnson did all that with just one punch.
