Penguins Surrender Lead Late. Game Four Heads For Overtime

And, we’re headed to overtime.

The Penguins officially surrendered their two goal lead to the Lightning in the waning moments of the third period. The teams head into the locker room tied 2-2.

Sean Bergenheim’s finish after a goalmouth scramble with 3:17 remaining evened the scores up after an evenly played period. Shots in the third were 10-8 in favor of the Penguins, making the total in regulation 40-22 in the Penguins favor.

The Pens, however, will have to deal with the potential absence of Maxime Talbot in extra play following a hard hit from Eric Brewer late in the third. Talbot had to be helped off of the ice and his availability is unknown.
