The Washington Capitals defeated the New York Rangers 4-3, also in double-overtime, taking a 3-1 lead in the series. The Rangers had a 3-0 lead heading into the third period, but they blew it, thanks in part to two goals from Marcus Johansson.
The Buffalo Sabres beat the Philadelphia Flyers 1-0, tying the series at two. Jason Pominville scored the only goal of the game in the third period, and Ryan Miller had 32 saves.
The Anaheim Ducks beat the Nashville Predators 6-3, tying the series at two. Corey Perry had two assists and a shorthanded goal for Anaheim.
Finally, the Detroit Red Wings completed a sweep of the Phoenix Coyotes with a 6-3 victory. Danny Cleary had a goal and two assists, while Valtteri Filppula had two assists.
