Sidney Crosby's Return Still In Limbo

Finally, we have word from Sidney Crosby on his health as he attempts to recover from concussion issues. Unfortunately, it probably isn't what Penguins fans want to hear. Crosby took steps forward this summer and, as had previously been reported, was working out normally. But he got to the point where he was working out at "90 percent," and the headaches came back.

"We would appreciate patience and understanding at this time," [Crosby's agent Pat] Brisson said. "There has been a lot of speculation swirling over the past several weeks. We wish we could provide more specific details about Sidney’s recovery, but a concussion is a different kind of injury. It’s not something you can check with an x-ray. And you can’t predict a precise recovery period. It’s all about the way he feels."

It looks very possible that Crosby's health issues could continue into the season. Brisson says that Crosby won't push himself to play if he's not "ready."
