The New York Rangers, who lead the NHL in points, face the Penguins at CONSOL Energy Center Friday night at 7:00. The game will be broadcast on ROOT Sports.
After winning four straight, the Penguins have had consecutive losses to the Flyers and Devils. They've since had several days off to regroup, however.

The Rangers, meanwhile, have been flying high, winning seven of their last eight. Henrik Lundqvist has helped lead the way, allowing only six goals in his past five games. Marian Gaborik has led them offensively - he hasn't scored in three games, but he had seven goals in his five games before that.
Former Penguin Mike Rupp should receive a warm welcome home - he played for the Pens for two seasons before 2011-12, and last weekend in the Winter Classic, he made waves by imitating Penguin villain Jaromir Jagr's signature salute.
