Two teams at opposite ends of the NHL spectrum meet Sunday at the CONSOL Energy Center when the streaking Pittsburgh Penguins (35-21-5, 75 points) host the lowly Columbus Blue Jackets (18-36-7, 43 points). It is the only meeting of the year between the two teams.

The Penguins destroyed the Tampa Bay Lightning 8-1 on Saturday, behind a hat trick from Evgeni Malkin and two goals from Jordan Staal. Pittsburgh has won eight of their last nine games at home and five of seven overall. The Penguins are 14-4-1 in their last 19 contests, averaging 3.7 goals per game over that span.

The Blue Jackets, on the other hand, have the lowest point total in the NHL, and most recently lost 5-0 Friday at home. Columbus has dropped tree of their last four games, allowing 17 goals in the process. For the year, the Blue Jackets have allowed the second-most goals in the league (203).

The Penguins are 4-2-0 all-time at home against the Blue Jackets.
