Coyotes Vs. Penguins Update: Pittsburgh Leads 2-0 At First Intermission

The Pittsburgh Penguins have a 2-0 lead over the Phoenix Coyotes at the first intermission. The Penguins are looking for the sixth consecutive win. If they can maintain the pace they started out with on Monday night, another win should be no problem, but there are still two periods left to play in Pittsburgh.

Zbynek Michalek put the Pittsburgh Penguins on top of the Phoenix Coyotes with an even-strength goal at the 11:44 mark of the first period. Chris Kunitz added another with a little over five minutes to play.

Michalek, a former Coyote, has now scored in each of his games against his old team. Talk about holding a grudge.

Pens goalie Marc Andre Fleury turned away 11 shots on goal. Mike Smith, in net for the Coyotes, allowed two goals on 12 shots.
