2012 NHL Playoffs, Penguins Vs. Flyers: Pittsburgh Looks To Avoid Sweep In Game 4

The Pittsburgh Penguins' season has reached the brink. After falling behind 3-0 to the Philadelphia Flyers in their first round Playoff series, the Penguins must now go into hostile territory in Philadelphia and steal a win to move the series back to Pittsburgh for a potential Game 5. The game starts at 7:30 pm ET and can be found on the NBC Sports Network.

The series has not been short on goals, but the Penguins have lost the ability to stop the other team from scoring. The Penguins averaged just 2.7 goals against per game during the regular season, but the Flyers have been able to score an incredible 20 goals in the first three games of the series. The Penguins are putting up enough goals to win these games, but the defense, as well as Marc Andre-Fleury, need to step up if the Pens want to extend their season.

The Penguins have made a small roster move in advance of what could be the last game of their season, recalling 20-year-old defenseman Simon Despres from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. This has led to speculation that Despres is being brought up to replace Paul martin, whose availability for the game on Wednesday is in question.
