The 1st Round of the 2012 NHL Draft is drawing to a close at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh. It has been an eventful Friday night in Pittsburgh, with the hometown Penguins making the biggest waves with their trade of Jordan Staal.
The first goalies came off the board in the bottom half of Round 1, with Russian Andrei Vasilevski going to the Tampa Bay Lightning, who desperately need new blood in between the pipes. The second goaltender taken was Malcolm Subban, the younger brother of P.K. Subban. Malcom was selected by the Boston Bruins with the 24th overall pick, where he has the potential to face his brother in Montreal in one of the fiercest rivalries in the NHL.
