Zach Parise Agrees To 13-Year Deal With Minnesota Wild

The Pittsburgh Penguins have missed out on one of the biggest free agency on the market this summer as Zach Parise has agreed to head back home to play for the Minnesota Wild. The now former New Jersey Devis defenseman has reportedly agreed to a 13-year deal that will pay him $98 million. Parise had spent his entire career with the Devils.

This past season, Parise had the third-most points in his career with 69, by scoring 31 goals and 38 assists. He could have been an upgrade for the Penguins roster had they been able to land Parise.

With Parise heading to the Wild, it really puts a damper on the Penguins pending moves as there were only a few players that they were looking to sign. The next step for the Penguins to improve their roster will now likely come through a trade.
