Baseball Prospectus (subscription only) lists the top Pirates prospects. BP loves the quartet of Gerrit Cole, Jameson Taillon, Luis Heredia and Josh Bell, but says the Pirates are "lacking in depth." BP says that Cole is "everything you look for in a college power pitcher," while Taillon is "everything you look for in a high school power pitcher." Heredia's "ceiling is through the roof," while Bell has "all of the tools to be an all-star corner outfielder." Starling Marte, meanwhile, is "one of the most exciting players in the minors."
