You may have seen this one already, but if not, here's a weird one: Reds starting pitcher Mike Leake, who pitched against the Pirates just a few days ago, has been arrested in Cincinnati for allegedly stealing $60 worth of T-shirts. It sounds so strange that it can't possibly be true - Leake got a $2.27 million signing bonus when he was drafted in 2009, and even the minimum annual salary in Major League Baseball is several hundred thousand dollars a year.
↵↵↵Police arrest reports said Leake removed the price tags from six American Rag T-shirts at a Macy's store and tried to leave without paying for them. Leake makes $425,000 in his second season in the majors.
↵A Macy's spokesman said the company had no comment beyond what was reported by police.

Leake skipped the minor leagues completely last season and went straight to the big leagues, where he was helpful in the Reds rotation. It will be interesting to see how this incident affects his career, if at all.
