Jameson Taillon To Be Promoted To West Virginia Power

It sounds like top Pirates prospect Jameson Taillon will officially make his minor-league debut sometime within the next week or so, as he will be promoted to the Bucs' Class A West Virginia Power team:

Jameson Taillon will be making his final start in extended Spring Training today, and will fly out of Bradenton tomorrow, heading for West Virginia. The West Virginia Power start a home stretch next week, spanning from April 25th through May 3rd. His debut will fall somewhere in that time frame.

Taillon was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2010 draft, out of high school in Texas. He has a ton of upside and is also very advanced for a high school prospect. The Bucs had held him back at extended spring training for a few weeks to begin the minor-league season because they wanted to limit the number of innings he pitched to start the year.
