A.J. Pierzynski Named Baseball's Most Annoying Player

This list of the most annoying players for each team is pretty funny. As one might expect, A.J. Pierzynski of the Chicago White Sox comes in first. "Everyone" on the New York Yankees comes in third.

Prince Fielder of the Brewers comes in sixth, apparently mostly due to his pose in a picture, but honestly, I have no problem with Fielder. Ryan Braun is downright obnoxious and comes with his own library of ridiculous photos, so it was a bit of a shock that he wasn't included.

The Pirates' entrant is Brandon Wood, who makes the list for, essentially, being a failed prospect.

Don’t know his personality, but he’s a walking reminder that the prospect you’re excited to watch can completely fail. Wood went from the best prospect in baseball to the worst hitter of all-time, so he’s unwittingly become the Ghost of Prospect Future. When you start thinking about your pet prospect setting the baseball world ablaze, you can hear Wood’s chains rattling.

I might have gone with Ronny Cedeno for being really hard to watch, or maybe Lacee Collins for the same reason. But it's a testament to the Pirates' anonymity that it's tough to pick out a player of theirs who's really annoying.
