Attacker Of Pirates Catcher Chris Snyder's Wife To Go To Trial

Subhash Modhwadia, who allegedly attacked the wife of Pirates catcher Chris Snyder at a gas station last month, will have to stand trial, the Associated Press reports.

If you missed the story the first time around, it's a crazy one. Carla Snyder nearly hit Modhwadia while he was riding a scooter in Banksville. Modhwadia allegedly then tailed the Snyders to a gas station, and he began kicking the Snyders' car and ranting about how they nearly struck him.

Carla Snyder then got out of the vehicle, at which point Modhwadia allegedly began attacking her. Meanwhile, Chris Snyder had to stay in the car with two children, because he had recently had back surgery. Two onlookers stepped in to help, and Modhwadia kept going, throwing punches and throwing his shoe (yes, really) before finally being restrained.

Modhwadia faces charges of aggravated assault and criminal mischief. Let's hope a jury sees fit to lock him up for a while.
