After Paul Maholm's Injury, Pirates Shuffle Roster

With Paul Maholm out, it appears that Ross Ohlendorf and Brad Lincoln will make starts this week for the Bucs.

On Friday, we noted that Paul Maholm's recent shoulder injury has him headed to the disabled list. The Pirates are about to make some roster moves to replace him.

They'll need someone to take over his start on Tuesday, and Ross Ohlendorf was already scheduled to start in the Pirates' doubleheader on Monday, so they need someone else. Rob Biertempfel reports that Brad Lincoln, who's currently in the Pirates' bullpen, will pick up the extra start:

Pirates likely to use Ross Ohlendorf and Brad Lincoln to cover games Monday (2nd of DH) and Tuesday.

Also, it looks like reliever Tony Watson is back, at least for now. He'll presumably take Maholm's roster spot. This is nice. Watson is the Pirates' best lefty relief option (far better than Joe Beimel), and he didn't really deserve to be demoted in the first place.
