If not, you could argue that he's the biggest waste of hitting talent in draft history. At this point, I'm trying not to overreact to Alvarez's performance this year because it's so early in the season. Unfortunately, it isn't just a couple weeks' worth of bad statistics. It's Spring Training and last season as well, and in both those cases, Alvarez looked thoroughly clueless. It's too early to call him a bust, but it's not to early to steel ourselves for the possibility that he is.â†µ
