Pirates Vs. Phillies Final Score: Andrew McCutchen Gives Bucs Walk-Off 5-4 Win

More: McCutchen's walk off leads Bucs to series win over Phillies

On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Pirates wrapped up their 2012 Opening Day series against the visiting Philadelphia Phillies.

The Phillies got on the board first in the opening frame, when Hunter Pence doubled in Shane Victorino to give Philly a 1-0 lead. Pence would hit a solo home run in the top of the fourth to make the score 2-0.

The Pirates finally got on the board with a solo Pedro Alvarez homer in the bottom of the fifth. Juan Pierre stretched the Phillies lead to 4-1 with a two-run double in the sixth, but the Pirates would plate two of their own in the bottom of the inning on a Casey McGehee RBI double and an Alex Presley RBI single to cut the lead to one. Pittsburgh tied things up in the eighth inning when Matt Hague drove in Andrew McCutchen with a single.

McGehee led off the bottom of the ninth with another double. Presley bunted McGehee to third base and Jose Tabata struck out on a foul tip. With two outs, McCutchen ran the count full before singling to center field to bring home the winning run and the series win.

The Pirates had 11 hits in the game and McCutchen was 3-for-4 with a walk. He's batting .364 to start the season.
