Miami Dolphins slot machine Davone Bess hauled in a short pass from quarterback Chad Henne, broke a William Gay tackle, juked safety Ryan Clark, and dove into the endzone to bring the score to 17-16, Steelers.
Bess doesn't get a lot of love on the national stage - and is obviously overshadowed by his superstar teammate Brandon Marshall- but he has sticky hands and (clearly) works well in the open field. In fact, his touchdown reception looked almost identical to Hines Ward's from earlier in the quarter.
Later, Hines Ward made a catch that would've made David Tyree proud, but the Steelers two-minute drill was stymied, in part due to some bizarre play-calling from offensive coordinator Bruce Arians. Seriously, why run a reverse there?
Steelers lead the Dolphins, 17-16. They will kick off to Miami after halftime.
