The Steelers' first drive of the fourth quarter started out promisingly enough, as Ben Roethlisberger connected with tight end Heath Miller for a first down. However, the quarterback proceeded to fumble for the second time today. With a defender wrapped around his legs, Roethlisberger tried to keep the play alive instead of taking the sack. Fortunately, the ball bounced right to rookie center Maurkice Pouncey.
On the following Dolphins drive, Chad Henne continued to dissect the Pittsburgh secondary. It's been discouraging to see how rarely the Steelers have been able to get pressure on Henne. He had a 24-yard completion to Brian Hartline and an underneath dump to tight end Anthony Fasano for 22. Defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau has been rushing four men for most of the game, which has clearly been an easy enough assignment for the Dolphins pass protection.
Miami's Dan Carpenter was good on a 40-yard field goal, his fifth of the day. Dolphins lead, 22-20, with just over five minutes left in the contest.
