Week 11 NFL Injuries: Troy Polamalu Sits For Second Straight Practice

The Steelers have released their injury report today, and it’s similar to yesterday’s. Troy Polamalu sat for the second straight day with an injured Achilles, while Will Allen, Nick Eason and Aaron Smith were also out. DE Brett Keisel was limited in his participation in practice. The key differences between today’s report and yesterday’s are that Crezdon Butler, Chris Kemoeatu and Lawrence Timmons were upgraded to full participation in practice. This is no surprise, since both are expected to play Sunday against the Raiders. Overall, today’s injury report contains no huge surprises, and where injuries are concerned, no news is good news.

As for Polamalu, seeing him sit again is disappointing, but Mike Tomlin has said the plan has been to limit Polamalu with an eye toward getting him back on the practice field late in the week, so that he can play Sunday. We’ll see how that works out – check back for more updates.
