2011 NFL Draft: Several Area Players Among Top Prospects

SB Nation's Mocking The Draft blog has a list of its top 200 NFL draft prospects for 2011. One would think that the Steelers would consider taking an offensive lineman or two, and the top offensive linemen on the list are Mississippi State's Derek Sherrod, Boston College's Anthony Castonzo, Wisconsin's Gabe Carimi, Colorado's Nate Solder, and Maurkice Pouncey's brother Mike Pouncey, from Florida. Mike Pouncey is, of course, the favorite among a lot of Steelers fans, given how well his brother has done this year.

Pitt is represented on the list by Jon Baldwin (No. 20), Jabaal Sheard (No. 119) and Jason Pinkston (No. 146). Baldwin is having a disappointing year statistically, but he has the size and athleticism to make it in the NFL. Penn State has Stefen Wisniewski (No. 71). West Virginia has Robert Sands (No. 92) and Noel Devine (No. 124). Devine is smaller than the typical NFL running back, but he has outstanding speed.
