Week 13 NFL Injuries, Steelers Vs. Ravens, Ben Roethlisberger Listed As Questionable

The Steelers’ Friday injury report is out. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, dealing with an ailing foot, is listed as questionable, but there’s still no reason to think he won’t play. Just in case he isn’t, backup Byron Leftwich is ready to play, but let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

Aaron Smith (triceps) and Matt Spaeth (concussion) are out, as expected. Everyone else on the injury report is listed as probable – Flozell Adams (back), Nick Eason (knee), Brett Keisel (calf), Bryant McFadden (hamstring) and Troy Polamalu (ankle). All participated fully in practice on Friday.

Getting Roethlisberger healthy before Sunday, then, is the key. The Trib notes that although Roethlisberger is slated to play, he’s walking with a limp. (The Trib also says that contrary to a Post-Gazette report yesterday, Roethlisberger does not have a broken foot, but rather aggravated some scar tissue.) The Steelers could be in for a long game against a good defense if Roethlisberger doesn’t get better.
