This afternoon’s injury report shows that the Steelers are in good shape for their game on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Only three players missed practice: defensive end Aaron Smith (triceps), tight end Heath Miller (concussion) and safety Troy Polamalu (Achilles). Miller probably isn’t going to play and Smith definitely isn’t, and we knew that days ago. Polamalu should be fine for Sunday; his ankle continues to bother him, but he’s missed a lot of practice in the last few weeks without missing the games, so missing another one shouldn’t be a warning sign.
Flozell Adams (ankle) returned to practice today after missing yesterday, and Isaac Redman (ankle), limited in practice yesterday, was at full participation today. Steve McLendon was limited in practice today with a stinger.
Adams says he’ll be ready to go Sunday; Heath Miller isn’t yet sure whether he’ll play or not. Smith, meanwhile, won’t play in the regular season but could be back for the playoffs.
