NFL Playoff Schedule: Jets Vs. Colts, Ravens Vs. Chiefs In AFC

The NFL playoff schedule is set. The Steelers won't be playing in the first week, but here's a sense of what to expect in advance of their first game against the Colts, Ravens or Chiefs at Heinz Field on Saturday, January 15 at 4:30 at Heinz Field (CBS).

The Jets will play the Colts on Saturday, January 8 at 8:00 PM (NBC). If the Colts win, they will be the Steelers' opponent the following week. If the Colts lose, the Steelers will play the winner of the Chiefs/Ravens matchup on Sunday, January 9 at 1:00 PM (CBS).

There are a couple ways to look at this. Of the remaining teams, the best possible first-round matchup for the Steelers would be the Chiefs. However, I wouldn't mind if the Steelers played the Colts, either, and anything that reduces the likelihood that the Steelers will face the Patriots in the AFC championship is a good thing, so it might be kind of interesting to see a Ravens/Patriots death match in the divisional round. The one opponent I don't particularly want the Steelers to face on the 15th is the Ravens, even though the Steelers are capable of beating them.

In the NFC, the Saints face the Seahawks on January 8 at 4:30 (NBC), and the Packers take on the Eagles on January 9 at 4:30 (FOX).
