Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is the AFC Offensive Player Of The Week after a five-touchdown performance against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
↵Roethlisberger only had 228 yards, but five of his 24 completed passes were for touchdowns, and his only serious mistake was a bizarre interception in which it was expected he'd spike the ball, but instead ended up tossing it directly toward Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan. Other than that, Roethlisberger was brilliant, particularly given that he was playing hurt and that he was delivering passes more quickly than usual, thanks to injuries to the Steelers' offensive line.
↵Two of Roethlisberger's touchdowns went to Hines Ward. He also threw one each to Mike Wallace, Heath Miller and David Johnson.
↵For the season, Roethlisberger has 1,376 yards passing on 172 attempts, with eight touchdowns and six interceptions. The Steelers' offensive line problems have slowed him at various points in the season, but they didn't do so against the Titans.
