The Steelers took a 14-0 lead over the Jacksonville Jaguars on a Ben Roethlisberger pass down the left side to Mike Wallace for a 28-yard touchdown. Wallace came streaking across the field to beat the safety help as Ben dropped it right into his hands as he hit the goal line. It was an effortless play that made the Jags secondary look helpless against Wallace’s speed. The quick strike capped an eight-play, 72-yard drive that lasted just over four minutes for Ben and the Steeler offense.
The drive was started with two consecutive big plays, when Rashard Mendenhall kick-started it with a 12 yard run off left tackle. Ben then found HInes Ward for a quick dump pass and Ward took it 19 yards to put the ball into Jacksonville territory. After another first down, Ben would find Wallace to take the two touchdown lead just three minutes in to the second quarter.
