Mike Wallace kept up his weekly routine of leaving opposing defensive backs in his dust, this time catching a second quarter pass from Ben Roethlisberger and sprinting into the end zone for a 14-0 Pittsburgh lead over the Arizona Cardinals. When that metaphorical dust did settle, it was 95 yards on the completion from Big Ben to his speedy wideout.
The touchdown connection came just one possession after Arizona quarterback Kevin Kolb was unable to connect on a long bomb to receive Rob Housler, a play on which Pittsburgh defensive back Ryan Clark was clearly beaten.
On the day, Roethlisberger is already 7 for 10 for 170 yards and two touchdowns. The Cardinals need to be careful, as this game could be out of hand by halftime at this rate.
