Max Starks Reportedly Could Sign With Steelers Wednesday

Dale Lolley reports that the Steelers could sign former offensive lineman Max Starks on Wednesday in order to address the lack of depth on their offensive line. After watching the offensive line get run over by the Texans' defenders, Starks' return should be a hit with most Steelers fans. It doesn't appear likely, however, that Starks will make a huge impact right away - he hasn't been playing competitive football since being cut.

Also, Lolley thinks Starks could take cornerback Bryant McFadden's roster spot.

The Steelers like what they've seen of rookies Curtis Brown and Cortez Allen. And William Gay and Keenan Lewis have been solid while McFadden has been out of action the past three weeks – including the last two as a healthy scratch.

That's certainly a possibility. Steelers Depot, though, thinks it's more likely to be Jamon Meredith, an offensive lineman who recently signed and can be released without a lot of fuss.
