The 2011 NFL Power Rankings for Week 9 continue to pour in. The latest edition comes to us from NFL.com, and I think that Pittsburgh Steelers fans will like where they have their team ranked. After a big win against another elite team this weekend, the Steelers are ranked as the second best team in football.
The Pittsburgh Steelers' 25-17 victory over the New England Patriots and the St. Louis Rams' 31-21 stunner over the New Orleans Saints bumped down two teams that had figured in the top 3 in most of our polls, lifting the Steelers to No. 2 for their highest ranking of the season. Once again all nine of our experts voted the Green Bay Packers No. 1.
I don't think even the most die-hard Steelers fans would argue that they have been better this year than the Packers, so having the second best ranking in the NFL has to be considered a pretty big win, especially because they already have two losses this year.
