Former Steelers Jerome Bettis, Dermontti Dawson, Kevin Greene and Donnie Shell are among the Pro Football Hall Of Fame Class of 2012 semifinalists. The list of 26 will be cut to 15 finalists in January, and then a list of four to seven players to be enshrined will be announced the day before the Super Bowl.

The two first-year-eligible candidates are Bill Parcells (who counts despite having been a finalist in 2001 and 2002 before his return to coach the Cowboys in 2003) and Will Shields.
