Ben Roethlisberger Fantasy Projection: Steelers QB Expected To Produce Well In Week 12

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has proven a consistently strong fantasy option during the 2011 season, but with a broken thumb on his right (throwing) hand, he and the Steelers will have to adjust their game plan when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday, Nov. 27. How will Roethlisberger fare against the Chiefs' porous defense, which allows 25.2 points per game?

SB Nation partner numberFire is optimistic about Roethlisberger's chances of turning in a solid, though not spectacular, performance from a fantasy standpoint. numberFire projects Roethlisberger to contribute 14.77 fantasy points by throwing for 247.78 yards and 1.43 touchdowns. That makes him the No. 10 fantasy quarterback for week 12, just behind Eli Manning and in front of Tim Tebow:

Roethlisberger last played the Chiefs in 2009, throwing for 398 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions, but Kansas City prevailed in overtime nonetheless.

Kansas City has allowed 18 passing touchdowns this season, which is No. 25 in the NFL; however, it also allows the fourth-fewest passing attempts in the league.
