Dan Sepulveda Injury: Pittsburgh Steelers Place Punter on IR

In a surprise announcement, the Pittsburgh Steelers have placed punter Dan Sepulveda on injured reserve with a right knee injury, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Steelers placed punter Daniel Sepulveda on injured reserve with a right knee injury and re-signed punter Jeremy Kapinos.

Sepulveda has dealt with knee injuries in the past with the Steelers, who originally drafted him in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. The Steelers brought back Jeremy Kapinos to punt, who spent time with the Steelers during training camp, competing for the job with Sepulveda. Kapinos played at Penn State and was originally signed by the New York Jets in 2007 as an undrafted free agent. Kapinos has also spent time punting with the Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts
