Pittsburgh Steelers Injury Report And Inactive List, Week 9: Lamar Woodley Inactive, To Miss Game Against Ravens

The Pittsburgh Steelers have released their official inactives for their Week 9 game against the Ravens via their official Twitter account. The biggest surprise to Steelers fans is that Lamar Woodley will be inactive. Woodley's injury coupled with the injury James Farrior, who is also listed as inactive, is just the latest in the litany of injuries suffered by the Steelers linebacking core in 2011.

The big boost, however, should be provided by the return of starting linebacker and former NFL Defensive Player of the Year James Harrison. Harrison has been missing in action since early October with a fractured orbital bone he suffered in a game against the Houston Texans. Harrison's return means that Lawrence Timmons will move to inside linebacker to cover for Farrior.

Also on the Pittsburgh inactives list is WR Emmanuel Sanders, who will miss the game with a knee injury, as well as QB Dennis Dixon, C Doug Legursky, T Jamon Meredith and NT Chris Hoke. The Ravens inactives are as follows: RB Anthony Allen, wide receivers Tandon Doss and Lee Evans, TE Kris Wilson, linebackers Dannell Ellerbe and Sergio Kindle, and CB Chykie Brown.
