NFL Mock Draft 2012: New Mock Has Steelers Picking Cordy Glenn

Ryan Van Bibber’s new 2012 NFL Mock Draft for SBNation.com features a lot of the usual names at the top, with Andrew Luck, Matt Kalil, Morris Claiborne, and Justin Blackmon going with the first four picks. Van Bibber has the Steelers taking Georgia offensive lineman Cordy Glenn at No. 29 overall:

Pittsburgh could use an upgrade on their offensive line, particularly on the outside. Glenn’s power fits nicely on the right side, and his wide body would help reroute pass rushers.

The Steelers have serious needs at guard, so that would make sense. However, the Steelers have been very hard to predict in recent drafts – they don’t really draft for need in the first round, and even if they did, they also need help at linebacker, nose tackle and a couple other positions. They’ll also have 20-plus teams picking before them, and they tend to value players differently than most teams do. So it’s hard to predict exactly what the Steelers will do, especially this far out.

Van Bibber has Penn State’s Devon Still going at No. 32 to the Green Bay Packers.
