Video: Steelers Vs. 49ers Blackout

Blackouts have now twice delayed the Steelers' Monday-night matchup against the 49ers, and it's become quite an absurd scene, with players and fans alike waiting in Candlestick Park for the lights to come back on. (The timing couldn't be better for The Dark Knight Rises, the trailer of which hit the internet Monday and which features bizarre occurrences taking place during a faux-Steelers game at Heinz Field.)

The blackout led the suspended James Harrison to joke that maybe San Francisco's inability to keep the power on had something to do with his absence.

If I cant play then can't nobody play... Lights out!

The game is back on in the second quarter. Who knows whether it will stay that way, and whether the game will be suspended if it doesn't. In the meantime, the blackout will provide a strange and lasting memory for fans of both teams. In case you missed it, find us after the jump, where can check out video of a transformer exploding before the game and the stadium falling into darkness.
