2012 NFL Pro Bowl: Troy Polamalu, Maurkice Pouncey Among Positional Leaders

Jamison Hensley notes that two Steelers are among the leaders in 2012 NFL Pro Bowl fan balloting at their positions. Balloting closed a couple days ago.

In final fan voting, nine AFC North players led their positions (including seven from the Ravens):
Fullback: Vonta Leach, Ravens (149, 801 votes)
Offensive tackle: Michael Oher, Ravens (327,644)
Center: Maurkice Pouncey, Steelers (376,457)
Defensive tackle: Haloti Ngata, Ravens (592,603)
Outside linebacker: Terrell Suggs, Ravens (546,851)
Inside linebacker: Ray Lewis, Ravens (413,222)
Strong safety: Troy Polamalu, Steelers (230,649)
Free safety: Ed Reed, Ravens (198,075)
Special teams: Brendon Ayanbadejo, Ravens (106,15)

There's no sixth digit for Ayanbadejo there, but you get the idea - that's a lot of Ravens, with Pouncey and Polamalu squeezed in between them.

Ben Roethlisberger and Mike Wallace were both among the top vote-getters overall, but neither of them were leaders at their positions.

Anyway, the players and coaches will get their say in the process too, and on December 27, we'll officially find out who will represent the Steelers in the Pro Bowl - assuming they're not heading to the Super Bowl, that is.
