Super Bowl Predictions: Former Players Split On Super Bowl Picks

The Sporting News has a huge compilation of Super Bowl picks by players and former players, who are split between the Steelers and Packers. Here are a few.

Jeff Hartings:

Steelers, 24-20. Defense and playmaker Ben Roethlisberger will be the difference.

Hartings isn’t biased here, I hope. Leon Lett:

Steelers, 24-21. Steelers defense will limit Aaron Rodgers and Packers passing game to less than 250 total yards. Steelers offense will have a big game establishing the run early, executing play-action passes and controlling time of possession. Packers will keep it close, however, by winning the turnover margin (plus-2).

I admire Lett’s incredibly specific prediction! Here’s one more from Matt Millen:

Packers, 27-24. The difference will be in Green Bay’s offensive line, their ability to protect.
