Hines Ward To Appear On 'Dancing With The Stars' Tonight

Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward is ready to make his first appearance on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" tonight, along with Kirstie Alley, Sugar Ray Leonard, and others. The show will be broadcast at 8:00 tonight and will run for two hours.

"I'm excited about it but at the same time -- like YOU, I will say I'm nervous," he recently posted on his Facebook page.

Mr. Ward will be counting on Steelers Nation for votes. Even those football fans who aren't patrons of the arts can understand that their favorite wide receiver getting kicked off the show ahead of Kirstie Alley would be almost as bad as losing to the Ravens.

No, I really don't think it would. But as the article linked above points out, Ward could have an edge here - athletes and former athletes have historically done very well on the show.

Ward will be dancing with Kym Johnson. You can check out their page here, as Ward explains what worries him the most about performing on the show.

What do you think is your biggest handicap to overcome if you're going to win? Based on what I have seen of the show, juggling my footsteps with my posture. I would say remembering to keep my posture is most likely going to be the biggest handicap for me.
