After the Pittsburgh Steelers' loss to the Green Bay Packers in last year's Super Bowl, the next football season can't come soon enough for Steelers fans. The NFL has released its 2011 preseason schedule, which begins with a matchup between the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Rams in Canton, Ohio on August 7. The Steelers' game against the Philadelphia Eagles on August 18 at 8:00 PM is one of about a dozen games that will be broadcast nationally (on FOX, in this case). (The list of nationally-televised games also includes a matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts at 8:00 on August 26.)
↵The Steelers' first preseason game is on the road against the Washington Redskins on August 13. After that, there's the Eagles game at home. Then, the Steelers will host the Atlanta Falcons on August 27. They'll wrap up their preseason schedule against the Carolina Panthers on the road on September 1, before kicking off their 2011 regular-season schedule. The full regular-season schedule will be announced later this month.
↵Of course, all this depends on the season actually happening, and due to the NFL lockout, that's in doubt at this point.
