Mel Kiper's final mock draft has the Steelers going in a now-familiar direction, selecting Texas cornerback Aaron Williams, who Kiper thinks the Steelers could mold into a "great cover corner."
At the top of the draft, he has Cam Newton, Von Miller (whose stock has soared recently) and Marcell Dareus going with the first three picks, to the Panthers, Broncos and Bills, respectively.
Many of the rest of his picks have become fairly standard, but some are not. Cal DE Cameron Jordan goes to the Cowboys with pick No. 9. The Patriots select Temple's Muhammad Wilkerson at No. 17. Nebraska corner Prince Amukamara drops all the way to the Bucs at No. 20, which would be somewhat shocking if it happened (and would no doubt have Steelers fans licking their chops if it actually came true). Clemson DE Da'Quan Bowers, who looked like a candidate to be drafted first overall a couple months ago, drops to the Saints at No. 24, while the Patriots pick Alabama RB Mark Ingram at No. 28.
The draft will begin on Thursday at 8:00 PM Eastern time, with the later rounds taking place Friday and Saturday.
