Steelers Depot has some news on who the Steelers are bringing in on pre-draft visits - the Steelers have talked with offensive linemen Marcus Gilbert (Florida), James Carpenter Jr. (Alabama) and Jarriel King (South Carolina), and they will also talk to Boise State wideout Austin Pettis and Utah State cornerback Curtis Marsh.
NFL Draft Scout projects that Gilbert and Carpenter project to be taken around the third round, while King is a potential late-round pick. That might or might not be an indication that the Steelers could address some other position in the first round. Of course, the most likely position would be cornerback, and Marsh is also projected as something like a third- or fourth-round pick. (If the name is familiar, that's because his father Curtis Marsh Sr. was briefly a wideout for the Steelers in 1997.)
The Steelers have no immediate needs at wide receiver, so if they were to take a wideout like Pettis, it would certainly be in the late rounds. NFL Draft Scout projects that Pettis will be a fourth- or fifth-round pick.
