It's not often we here at SB Nation Pittsburgh write a post that goes on both the Steelers and WVU Mountaineers pages, but hey. Ed Bouchette has a wild question:
↵↵↵It appears that Bill Stewart will soon be West Virginia’s former head coach. Stewart gave Mike Tomlin his first coaching job (receivers) in 1985 [actually 1995] at VMI. It seems unlikely but it’s worth raising the question, might Tomlin reciprocate and find a job on his staff for Stewart? Tomlin spoke fondly of his old boss when WVU named him head coach.
↵
It seems pretty unlikely that Stewart would go from leaving WVU in disgrace (which seems to be the likely outcome of the mess involving Stewart, Dana Holgorsen and West Virginia athletic director Oliver Luck) to a job with one of the most prestigious organizations in the NFL, even if that job were merely a behind-the-scenes sort of thing. If allegations that Stewart asked reporters to "dig up this dirt" on Holgorsen are true, then I wouldn't expect the Steelers to look kindly upon that.
