Ravens Vs. Eagles Final Score: Steelers' Rivals Lose 13-6 In First Preseason Matchup

The Steelers' archrivals, the Baltimore Ravens, lost 13-6 to the Philadelphia Eagles in their first preseason matchup. It doesn't mean much, obviously, but hey, it's football, and the Steelers don't play until Friday night (against the Redskins at 7:30).

The Eagles took a 7-3 lead in the first quarter on a touchdown pass from Michael Vick to Brent Celek, and they never relinquished it, as the Ravens could only summon two Billy Cundiff field goals.

Joe Flacco led the Ravens for two series, and basically what happened after that was that the Ravens' offense turned into the Tyrod Taylor Show, which incidentally turns out to not be a very good show. Taylor was sacked on his first play from scrimmage and was intercepted in his third. Along the way he did pile up 179 yards passing (with two interceptions) and 59 yards rushing, and he did lead the Ravens deep into Philadelphia territory on what might have been a game-tying drive near the end of the fourth quarter. But he ended up throwing three straight incompletions and turning the ball over on downs. But hey, he's a rookie.
