Ben Roethlisberger and other Steelers will play act as football players in the filming of a portion of the new Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises, which will be shot at Heinz Field Saturday morning, the Post-Gazette reports.
↵↵↵There will be an early call for the football-playing actors -- they must be on the set, which is closed to the public, by 7 a.m. Saturday, and this after tonight's practice in Latrobe.
↵"From what I've heard, it's going to be like a pre-game, warming-up type thing,'' Roethlisberger said of the Steelers' roles. "I don't know the whole concept. There's a Gotham team, a football game. We'll be wearing uniforms. It will be fun."

Huh. It sounds like there might not be a lot of football action for the fans/extras to watch. But there will be a ton of Steelers there - in addition to Roethlisberger, Troy Polamalu, Hines Ward, Mike Wallace, Maurkice Pouncey, James Farrior, Aaron Smith, Heath Miller, Casey Hampton, Ryan Clark and Willie Colon will all participate. I'm not sure how you involve someone like Polamalu in something like this without it being obvious that it's Polamalu, but who knows?
