The Ravens are now trouncing the Steelers 29-7 in the third quarter. The score was a manageable 14-7 in the second, but the Ravens started a drive with seven minutes remaining in the half in which they mostly relied on the running game to move downfield. The Joe Flacco was able to find Ray Rice for a score with two minutes left.
The Steelers received the ball in the second half, but Rashard Mendenhall fumbled on the first play from scrimmage, giving the Ravens excellent field position. Flacco found Ed Dickson for an 18-yard touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage, and after a two-point conversion, the Ravens went up 29-7.
Unless the Steelers can pull off a miracle comeback, expect a ton of gloating from Baltimore fans – and a ton of handwringing from Steelers fans about what went wrong.
